The Iberital MC2 coffee grinders are the best in the sub £200.00 price bracket available on earth. These grinders are designed for light commercial use, for coffee shops to use as a second grinder for a lesser used a blend of coffee beans, or as a grinder, which is only used for decaff, decaffeinated or organic coffee beans, avoiding cross-contamination. It is suggested that you grind enough coffee beans for a maximum of 50 coffee drinks per day with these grinders. If you intend to grind more than that on a regular basis you should look at buying an Iberital MC5, which is designed to grind a higher volume of beans per day. Here we have two types of MC2 grinder (often referred to as the gourmet challenge grinder). You have the MC2 Auto, which has a timer on the side and a chute on the front. You also have the MC2 Manual with doser, this is more of a traditional styled grinder without a timer, it has a doser on the front which dispenses 7 grams of grounds at a time, once the level of grounds is higher than the top of the dispensing segments inside the doser. The MC2 Auto is the preferred choice for home users, who love this grinder. You can set the timer to run for between 7 and 13 seconds, this in effect gives you roughly the same dose of coffee every time from the chute, so there is less scope for waste. It should be noted that with a chute grinder at times you may get a little grounds retention, this is common with most grinders of this type, but nothing to write home about, especially if you have one of our coffee grounds brushes to tidy everything up with.
