Milk Foaming Jugs

Milk Foaming Jugs are a vital part of any coffee machine set-up. You will need one of these for foaming or frothing milk to make a cappuccino or latte coffee drink.

There are some who believe it is better to have a very thick lined and heavyweight milk jug, we disagree with this. A thicker lined jug merely holds more heat and provides more convection that is it actually heats the milk quicker because more heat is held within it, due to the thicker wall.

From the point of view that you want to increase volume as much as possible, it is clearly best to have a standard lined jug, as the only heat created is that from the steam going into the milk, not from the reflecting qualities of the jug itself. Therefore you get more volume, which is the main point of foaming the milk in the first place

The basic stainless are high quality 18/10 grade stainless steel, genuine commercial quality. The straight sided jugs are spot welded in 4 places and the belly jugs are spot welded in 2 places, though these may not be available for much longer.

For an easy life and for behinners use the straight-sided jugs, as they are the easiest to use and clean, a very straight forward and worthy solution to you milk-frothing needs. Although for the more experienced Barista the belly bottomed jugs provide something different which can, with practice, prove to be beneficial.

For those with a bigger budget the Motta jugs are worth a look these are high quality and work well.
