Group solenoids for espresso machines. The Solenoid sits behind the head. Comprising of a body, spring, outer cover. The main body is electronically activated by a coil.
The coil is magnetic. Listen when running a group to make a coffee. The button is pressed an audible clunk is present. No clunk indicates a broken coil.
It is not economical to replace the coil alone. Once failed the solenoid will not be far behind. Replacement group solenoids annually. Group solenoids are always fixed to the group head using allen keys. Seals sit in the edge of the ducts. The seals should be checked for damage when removing.
The primary manufacture is Parker. Parker now own Lucifer. Both are made in the same factory to the same specification. Therefore no advantages are to be had between the two names.
The Gaggia coil is also present. This offers a superb upgrade to CEME 5136 and 5316 users. As well as being a great replacement.
